Pamela Hoss earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston/Tufts University in 1984. She has taught figure drawing at the
University of Massachusetts Dartmouth since 1989. Pamela received a National Endowment for the Arts Regional Visual Artist's Fellowship in drawing in 1994.
Selected regional exhibitions include the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Duxbury Arts Complex Museum, the Fitchburg Museum, The Danforth Museum, the Fuller Museum, The Attleboro Museum, and the
New Bedford Art Museum.
The figure has been her main studio engagement for the past thirty years. Recently, the creative process has allowed her to begin to capture memories of the past with a conscious awareness of
age, gender and loss.
