Alissar Langworthy

Alissar Langworthy developed her inspiration for art from a very young age, as her family lived in different countries while she was growing up. She received her formal training in fine arts and design at Saginaw Valley State University, in Michigan, shortly after her permanent move to the United States. Over the years, Alissar kept gravitating toward her love of oil painting, which has been her medium for over 30 years. Her studio is currently in New Bedford, MA where she divides her time between painting, and serving as a maritime captain of a research vessel.
