Biography:

Patricia Daughton earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis on studio and art history from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, and a Master’ s Level in Art Therapy in Vancouver. She moved to Washington DC in 1998 where she practiced as an art therapist for three years before moving to New Bedford in 2003. Her work is in both private and corporate collections.

Artist Statement:

I am interested in the strange juxtapositions between the real and the imagined, between the abstract and the figurative. I use these elements to create idiosyncratic relationships that enable me to communicate the strangeness of our world.
