David Baggarly graduated with a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore, MD, in 1985. He now resides in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, working in a studio at the Hatch Street Studios, 88 Hatch St. in New Bedford, Massachusetts. David’s 2010 solo exhibit, entitled “Crux”, was shown at Colo Colo Gallery of New Bedford. A second solo exhibit at Colo Colo is expected in May of 2011. His work has been included in the New Bedford Art Museum's "Home Grown....10 from the South Coast" exhibit, September 2008 thru January of 2009. Other recent exhibitions include “New Works” at Breslin Fine Arts Gallery in R.I., and one person exhibits at Rhode Island College, Providence, RI, and Northwestern College, in Iowa. His works hang in numerous public and private collections. Among those collections are MEDITECH, in Fall River, MA, Johnson & Wales University of Providence, RI, and the National Conference of American Bishops in Washington DC. David has also received numerous artist grants, including grants from arts councils in Baltimore, MD, Rhode Island, and the LEF Foundation in CA.
