I’ve been working here at Hatch Street since 2003 shortly after moving back to the Southcoast area after graduating from Rhode Island College.
My first memories of art making are warm memories from my childhood. Growing up, my father was a photographer, and my mom a seamstress.
We spent many days and nights hanging out working on family art projects in the dining room, while listening to Elvis records on the turn table. It was a way to bring everyone together to be creative and socialize. It was the best!
Currently, I work mainly with stoneware, and occasionally some porcelain. I have been making tiles, dishware, home accent pieces, garden sculptures, baby prints, and of course, custom orders!
I have a lovely online shop where you can buy my stuff. www.chrissyannceramics.etsy.com
I also have a blog I should update more often... you can see what’s new & exciting with me, my work, the studio, and my travels in between: www.chrissyannceramics.blogspot.com
